Open your own website on a phone, ideally on mobile data rather than wi-fi, and go through the list one item at a time. Be strict: if you have to think about whether something counts, it probably does not. The point is to find the weak spots, not to score well.
Why each group matters
Basics
These are the foundations. If the site is slow, insecure or inconsistent with your Google listing, nothing else you do will work as well. They are also the cheapest things to fix.
Services
Patients search for services, not for pharmacies in general. Separate pages with clear prices and an explanation of what happens at the appointment give people what they need to decide, and give search engines something specific to match.
Trust and local SEO
Choosing a healthcare provider is a trust decision. A named pharmacist, your registration details, real reviews and clear local information reassure patients, and they help your pharmacy show up in local results.
Booking and conversion
Visitors who cannot see what to do next leave. A single, obvious action on every service page, a tap-to-call number and a real booking route turn interest into appointments. Being able to update the site yourself keeps it accurate over time.
What to do with your score
- Most items ticked: your foundations are good. Look at the unticked items and fix them one by one, starting with anything on a high-traffic page.
- About half ticked: there are meaningful gaps. Focus first on service pages and mobile experience, which usually have the biggest effect.
- Few items ticked: the site is probably costing you patients. Decide whether to repair what you have or rebuild it; our redesign guide explains how to choose.
Beyond the checklist
The checklist covers fifteen essentials, not everything. It does not judge your writing, your photography, your page speed in detail or whether your pages rank for the right searches. For a closer look, read the guide on common pharmacy website mistakes, or ask for a free review.
